In this post we’re going to share with you a method on how you can increase and free up the phone internal memory by moving installed applications to Micro SD Card. This was tested on Xiaomi Redmi 4X, but will work on other similar smartphone with MIUI9 or MIUI8 firmware installed.
Move Apps to SD Card on MIUI9 without root
Root is required! Also pay attention that you’re doing everything at your own risk, so be careful and make all required backups.
- Download and install App2SD tool
- Go to “Partition tool (adaptable)”.
- Choose “adopted” and select the required size. Press “Create”.
- Reboot your device.
If you are still not able to move apps to adopted SD card, you can try to use the Titanium Backup 8.0 or later.
